Whitefish Architecture is an OAA licensed architecture firm based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 2003 by Graham Whiting the office remains small, focusing on compelling, collaborative projects which share the goal of living lightly and beautifully on this earth.

Please note that we have reduced our scope of services and operations in the past year. New builds will still be considered for schematic design only, as well as residential additions in the Kitchener / Waterloo area. Hourly technical and feasibility consulting for homes and properties is available throughout the year. We are not providing full architectural services, this is for schematic design only.

Services Offered

Schematic Home Design - Site assessment, schematic design, and consultation on how to complete the building process (permit, builder selection, etc.) for new homes and additions. Includes as built drawings, schematic house plans and elevations drawn in CAD and available to you as digital files.

Feasibility and Technical Studies - we visit a property with you to assess its suitability to meet your needs, discuss structures, site constraints and opportunities, financial feasibility, and siting. We do site assessment for permaculture design as it relates to self sufficiency and off-grid, integrated homes and outbuildings, and advise on climate, water, solar access, soil, vegetation, servicing and grading as well as social infrastructure. Extensive expertise in older homes and deep energy retrofits.
